Less time in gestures leads to overall success

Another week in Wonderland and another wonderful model. Karen was terrific she gave strength with attitude and an emotional connection with style and grace. Although the class was small we able to capture several positional composition. Karen allow us to illustrate a continuous flow of light and power.

The artists were also challenged with less time for gestures averaging between 2-3 minute sessions. Also I challenge the artist to use a memory technique by only glancing at the subject and then turning the opposite way to create their design. They excelled; such talent within the class. We welcomed a new student and she was super talented.

Wonderful and inspiring class.

First week back in Wonderland-Amanda and her belly.

After along break we meet again. I hope the holidays found everyone safe and sound I hope they did not eat as much as I, can you say GYM. After being away from the studio so long I start to get bored and antsy. My wife constantly wants me out of the house when this happens. Yet, the weather was terrible and there I sat at the computer either designing or painting. Now that we are back for another of creativity all seems right with the world.

For the first week back I wanted it to be inspiring and special and Amanda our model allowed for this to happen. She is 5-6 months prego and petite cute and full of life. The Artist ate it up, we hope to get her back for one more round before she looses her round. We were able to adjust the lights to give her some great contour shadows and wonderful ramping when it comes to value and highlights.

The mediums were mixed again from graphite to paint with structure sizes varying from large 20"X32" to small 8"X11". Although we had a three week break you could not tell there was any lapse in learning. The artists again impressed me to no avail and they continue to make me look like a brilliant teacher. Thanks to all and enjoy the images taken.
